A CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) scan is a specialised 3D dental scan that allows us to assess teeth, bone, nerves, airways, and surrounding structures in greater detail. It is commonly used for implant planning, wisdom teeth assessments, and orthodontic treatment.
At Lower Templestowe Dental Excellence, we use the highly regarded Green X CBCT system, which is designed to provide high-quality 3D imaging while keeping radiation exposure as low as reasonably achievable. Depending on the clinical situation, we can also select smaller scan areas to further minimise radiation dose.
